The Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) cultural park

GWK is a the statue of the god Vishnu which is standing upright in Bukit Ungasan Jimbaran Bali. Made by a sculpture which is graduated from ITB (Institute of Bandung Technology ), I Nyoman Nuarta. It will reach 145 meters of height, higher than the Statue of Liberty, New York and planned to be the highest monument in the world.
The position Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is located on the hill which is 300 metres above sea level and this will be a landmark that welcomes anyone who set foot on the island of Bali.

Due to some constraints, the statue is a little choked up. Since built in 1997, up to the current condition of the statue just 15 percent of which consists of a statue of god Vishnu and the Garuda. Bali as the host of Internatioanl Yoga event

Bali is trusted to be the host of the International Yoga Festival which will be involving hundreds of yoga teachers from various countries, as long as one week which is will be begun March 3.

"This international event is a repercussions of a Yoga Day programand the implementation will be continued in the last two years," said Chairman of the Bali-India Foundation Dr Somvir in Denpasar, on Monday.

He said that, these activities brought a theme of "Yoga for Peace and Health" that all activities take place in Bali People Struggle Monument, at Niti Mandala, Renon, Denpasar.

These overseas Yoga teachers activities during the course will provide a useful yoga for health. Training that is built directly by yoga teachers is opened to cross-religious citizens.

Somvir said, they are able to follow the yoga activities keep with the good condition of health and cure various disease.

"During the festival,yoga teachers from across the world is happy with the build and train the people who are interested to attend the yoga," he said.
